The court is one of the few places in government where cameras are absolutely verboten. To see the justices deliberate the crucial issues of the day, citizens must travel to D.C. and stand in line for hours in the hopes of securing one of the few available public seats. These practices render the court largely inaccessible to most Americans.

The Judicial Accountability Initiative Law, J.A.I.L., is a single-issue national grassroots organization designed to end the rampant and pervasive judicial corruption in the legal system of the United States. J.A.I.L. recognizes this can be achieved only through making the Judicial Branch of government answerable and accountable to an entity other than itself. At this time it isn't, resulting in the judiciary's arbitrary abuse of the doctrine of judicial immunity, leaving the People without recourse when their inherent rights are violated by judges.

In 1995, a family court judge ordered corporate lawyer, H. Beatty Chadwick to deposit $2.5 million in the court's registry to pay alimony to his ex-wife, Barbara Applegate.  Chadwick said he didn't have the money, but the court believed he'd stashed it somewhere during the divorce.  So, because Chadwick didn't pay, the judge jailed him for contempt of court.

Dear Bar Leaders,

Last week, Governor Patrick signed the FY10 budget and vetoed $18.5 million in Trial Court funding, which reduced our budget to $550.7 million from the $569.1 million recommended by the Legislative Conference Committee.

We now must work diligently to achieve an override of all of these vetoes and restore Trial Court funding to $569.1 million. Although the House and Senate have not yet announced the schedule for taking up the Governor’s vetoes, we think it prudent to begin our advocacy efforts now. We ask that you and your members contact your local representatives in the House and Senate to urge an override of the court funding vetoes.
